Apex Legends update brings back leaver penalties for Arenas
Respawn Entertainment has rolled out a new update for Apex Legends on all platforms.
This latest update brings back leaver penalties for the Arenas mode. The penalty system was added to the game last month, but the developer was forced to remove it due to players being wrongfully punished. Under the system, players who abandon a full team will be hit with a matchmaking timeout.
The update also fixes a few voice chat issues on Nintendo Switch and gifts all players a special Pride badge to use in celebration of Pride Month. Read the full patch notes below:
In other news, Apex players can currently get their hands on a new community-created loading screen through Twitch Drops. Each week until August 3rd, players can grab a new loading screen by watching an hour of eligible streams on Twitch.
Apex Legends is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
