The Wonderful 101: Remastered Kickstarter reaches $2 million stretch goal
The Wonderful 101: Remastered’s Kickstarter has reached $2 million with just over 24 hours left until it closes.
Reaching this latest milestone means that side-scrolling action spinoff Luka’s Second Mission will be added to the game. This new addition sees the return of Luka, a student in Wonder-Red’s class at Blossom City Elementary School.
“In the main game, you can control 100 wonderful teammates and use Unite Morphs to harness your teammates’ power and progress through the stages,” director Hideki Kamiya said when the stretch goal for Luka’s First Mission was reached. “In this spin-off game, you’ll control Luka–and no one else! How is Luka going to be able to fight all on his own? And what sort of story awaits him?”
The remaster’s remaining stretch goals include Orchestral re-recordings of two of The Wonderful 101’s tracks at $2.25 million and support for additional languages at $2.5 million.
The Wonderful 101: Remastered launches for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on May 19th in North America and May 22nd in Europe.
