Borderlands 3’s Takedown New Year’s event delayed
Gearbox Software has delayed Borderlands 3’s Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite event due to “technical issues.”
“Due to technical issues, today’s event, which would scale the difficulty of ‘Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite’ to number of players, is being postponed to a future date,” the developer wrote on Twitter. “We will share more information here when we’re able. Thank you for your patience.”
The event was due to run from December 31st through January 16th and would have scaled the difficulty of Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite to the number of players in the group.
Last month, Gearbox released a hotfix for the game that made it so players are no longer transitioned to Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite until a full party has been found. The hotfix also reduced the shields and armor of the Maliwan Deathspheres in Takedown.
Borderlands 3 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
