The Last of Us Part II doesn’t have multiplayer
Naughty Dog has revealed that The Last of Us Part II will not have a multiplayer component when it launches next year.
Lead game designer Emilia Schatz confirmed during a recent interview with USgamer that The Last of Us Part II is “a single-player experience.”
“We’re focusing on a single-player experience, so we’re just making a single-player game for this,” she said. This was later clarified by a Sony representative.
Earlier this week, Naughty Dog released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming sequel that showed Ellie taking on the Infected, searching for Dina, and bumping into an old friend. Watch it here.
The Last of Us Part II arrives on PlayStation 4 on February 21st, 2020.
