MultiVersus Season 1 start date and Morty release date confirmed
The first official season for platform fighter MultiVersus will begin on August 15th, developer Player First Games has announced.
Originally, the season start and the arrival of Morty Smith from Rick and Morty as a new character were supposed to happen at the same time. However, Morty is now scheduled to join the game a little later on August 23rd.
“Everything we are bringing to you in Season 1 will not drop on the same day,” the developer notes in a follow-up tweet. “New modes and content will be spread through the life of the Season. We’ll continue to share dates on all the fun things to come!”
As previously announced, Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty is due to join the roster at some point during the first season.
MultiVersus is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
