Elden Ring patch 1.03.2 fixes game-breaking multiplayer exploit
FromSoftware rushed out a new patch for Elden Ring to fix one of the worst multiplayer exploits we’ve ever seen.
We’re not sure if it was a straight-up cheat or just some bad actors taking advantage of a bug, but certain Elden Ring invaders on PC were transporting players to coordinates that resulted in instant death. That’s not even the worst part. This cheat made it so that players kept respawning in the same place, creating an unending death loop that basically ruined their save file.
Thankfully, FromSoft worked quickly to fix this exploit, releasing a patch that smoothed out some rough edges after the last patch. In addition to that multiplayer fix, FromSoft fixed a few more bugs.
Here’s the complete patch notes:
- Fixed a bug that sometime prevented players from advancing NPC Nepheli Loux’s questline
- Fixed a bug that causes the playable character to die when trying to descend from a spot near Bestial Sanctum
- Fixed a bug that prevented Ash of War, Endure from taking effect
- Fixed a bug in multiplayer that allowed players to teleport others to incorrect map coordinates
This marks the second Elden Ring patch in as many weeks. Last week’s patch included a new NPC, an extension of other NPC’s quests, and a bunch of balance changes.
Elden Ring is available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
