The Division won’t be at E3 this year
The development teams behind The Division franchise have confirmed that there will be no The Division-related news during Ubisoft Forward.
“We won’t be at Ubisoft Forward this year, but we invite you all to tune in alongside us to hear the exciting announcements across other Ubisoft titles,” a statement posted to Twitter reads. “The Division teams are still hard at work; new content for The Division 2 is on track for the end of the year, while Heartland will have additional tests available for players interested in signing up.”
As previously revealed, a game mode that “is entirely new to the franchise” is currently in the works for The Division 2 with help from Ubisoft Bucharest along with new ways for players to progress their agent.
While Heartland is a free-to-play standalone title set in The Division universe that is being worked on by Ubisoft’s Red Storm studio. The game “will provide an all-new perspective on the universe in a new setting” and “doesn’t require previous experience with the series.”
The Division Heartland is set to release in 2021-22 for PC, consoles, and the cloud.
