Fall Guys (probably) won’t be coming to Xbox Game Pass after all
Earlier this month, a Twitter exchange prompted speculation that the goofy battle royale Fall Guys would come to Xbox Game Pass. Now, the game’s publisher, Devolver Digital has issued a firm denial.
Writing on Twitter, Devolver stated fairly unequivocally that “There are no plans for Fall Guys to come to any form of Gamepass [sic].”
While the earlier social media exchange kicked off the speculation, it was a comment from the official Xbox Game Pass Instagram account that prompted this denial. After a commenter asked about Fall Guys on a post promoting Control, the Game Pass account responded, “it’s coming 👀.”
This, clearly, is a bit of confusing messaging. It’s possible that whoever manned the Game Pass account didn’t have correct information in front of them, perhaps the most likely explanation given Devolver’s use of the term “no plans.”
Then again, the official account for Control once issued a similar denial, only for the game to later join Game Pass. In other words, just because there are no plans now, that doesn’t necessarily rule out Fall Guys eventually coming to Xbox Game Pass at some point in the future.
Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that allows members to download and play a rotating library of games on Xbox and PC platforms for one monthly fee.
At the moment, Fall Guys is only available on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
