Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel adds Casual Match, Duelist Cup, and more

Konami has released a major update for Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel that includes a new mode, PvP multiplayer tournament, additional solo content, and more.

To start with, players now have access to Casual Match. In this mode, in-game rank and player level are not affected by the outcome, giving players the chance to try out new strategies or just have a relaxing game with nothing on the line.

Joining Casual Mode is the Duelist Cup, a new two-stage multiplayer event. In the tournament’s first stage, players must win Duels to raise their level (DLv.) and unlock rewards. Reach the highest level to qualify for the second stage, which begins on August 18th. In this stage, winning duels rewards points (DP) and players will earn rewards based on the their final position on the leaderboard.

The update also includes a new Solo Mode Gate and Invincible Raid Selection Pack based around Beetrooper monsters, new card activation animations, options for viewing Duel animations, and more.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
