Ys Origin announced for Nintendo Switch
Ys Origin will be making the move to Nintendo Switch later this year, publisher Dotemu has announced.
This entry in the series is set 700 years before Ys I and II when the world of Ys is on the brink of destruction. One day, the twin goddesses who ruled the land disappeared, and now it’s up to aspiring knight Yunica Tovah and mage Hugo Fact to find them.
The publisher also revealed that two physical editions of the game will be available via Limited Run Games in North America. Fans will have the choice between the standard edition and a Collector’s Edition that contains a poster, the game’s soundtrack, an art book, and a collector’s box.
Ys Origin originally released for PC in the West in 2012, with a PlayStation 4 and Vita release following in 2017, and finally Xbox One in 2018.
