Yakuza 3-5 Remastered are free to play on Xbox
This week’s selection of Free Play Days titles for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One owners has a very heavy Yakuza theme.
Starting today, January 20th, through January 23rd, Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can download and play Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered, and Yakuza 5 Remastered. To install these games on console, visit the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store, enter the Gold member area, and scroll down to the Free Play Days collection.
In Yakuza 3, series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu has left the Yakuza life behind and is running an orphanage. However, this quickly comes to an end when a dispute is raised over the land it is built on and Kiryu finds himself dragged back in. While Yakuza 4 puts players in control of loan shark Shun Akiyama, prisoner Taiga Saejima, cop Masayoshi Tanimura, and Kazuma Kiryu. Finally, Yakuza 5 sees the Omi Alliance on the verge of a war of succession, and the Sixth Chairman of the Tojo Clan, Daigo Dojima, is hoping to unify the Yakuza of Japan to prevent it.
As usual with Free Play Days titles, all progress made and achievements earned during the free weekend can be carried over to the full game if players wish to continue playing after the trial ends.
Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered, and Yakuza 5 Remastered are also discounted by 50 percent for a limited time.
