Xbox Insider Alpha Skip Ahead update fixes party chat bugs

Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip Ahead ring can now download a new Xbox One system software update.

According to Microsoft, this latest update fixes two party chat-related bugs. The first is an issue that caused players to end up in game chat when in a party chat, while the second prevented players from muting and unmuting party members using the overlay. Take a look at the full patch notes below:

Party Chat

  • Users should no longer appear in Game Chat when they are in Party Chat.
  • Party Chat overlay should allow users to mute/unmute members of the party.

System

  • Various updates to properly reflect local languages across the console.

Microsoft also outlined a number of issues that it is aware of in this build, including loss of Dolby Atmos audio at 120hz, cropped ads on the dashboard, and being unable to send voice messages while in a party. A full list of known issues can be found here.
