WWE 2K Battlegrounds launches September, new trailer released
Multiplayer arcade experience WWE 2K Battlegrounds will arrive on PC and consoles on September 18th, 2020, publisher 2K has announced.
The upcoming game will feature more than 70 WWE Superstars and Legends, including Bray Wyatt, The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Becky Lynch, and more. Players can also use the Superstar Creator to build their own WWE Superstar by customizing body type, size, facial features, clothing, and more.
In terms of game modes, Battlegrounds features online and local Exhibition matches for up to four players and King of the Battleground, a last-man standing online mode in which four players start in the ring and four wait outside to enter. There’s also a campaign that will follow seven WWE hopefuls as they compete to earn a WWE contract.
“We know WWE fans and gamers enjoy a wide variety of experiences, and with WWE 2K Battlegrounds, we’re presenting a whole new dimension through arcade-style gameplay that’s completely different than our WWE 2K simulation franchise,” Chris Snyder, Vice President of Marketing for 2K, said. “We look forward to seeing everyone tear it up with friends and family in the Battlegrounds.”
WWE 2K Battlegrounds launches September 18th, 2020, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Stadia.
