Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong gets a gameplay trailer
Nacon and Big Bad Wolf have shared a debut gameplay trailer for their upcoming narrative RPG set in the world of Vampire: The Masquerade.
In Swansong, mysterious assassins have attacked the Boston Camarilla, a secret society for vampires, and current prince Hazel Iversen has tasked Galeb Bazory, Emem Louis, and Leysha with discovering the identity of the attackers and their motives. The trio will need to infiltrate the humans, investigate, and find the answers they seek.
Each of the three protagonists has various stats that can be customized and also a unique vampiric power known as a Discipline. Leysha has the power to Obfuscate and hide her identity, while Emem can use Celerity to reach inaccessible locations. Finally, Galeb can use his power, Domination, to turn people into puppets.
Using these powers increases the character’s hunger for blood. If they do not feed, their inner beast takes over and affects what they can do. Players must be careful to feed out of sight to maintain the Masquerade, which is a law that requires vampires to hide their existence from humans.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong launches May 19th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
