Uplay Plus launches today
Ubisoft’s new subscription service, Uplay Plus, is now available on PC, offering access to more than 100 games for a monthly fee.
For $14.99 a month, players can download and play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Far Cry New Dawn, The Crew 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Trials Rising, Watch Dogs 2, and many more. As previously announced, Watch Dogs Legion, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and Rainbow Six Quarantine will be added to the service in the future.
In addition to access to the game library, subscribers will be able to play new titles three days early and get access to all betas for upcoming Ubisoft games.
However, the launch hasn’t gone smoothly, with numerous issues being reported. Ubisoft has listed some of the biggest issues along with workarounds in a forum post, including failed payments, authorization holds, being unable to activate Uplay Plus, and the missing Anno 1800. On that last issue, Ubisoft notes that the game is missing due to “technical issues” and the team is “working to make it available for players as soon as possible.”
A free trial of Uplay Plus is available until September 30th, but it should be noted that users will be charged if they do not cancel before the free trial ends.
