Unpacking PlayStation release date confirmed
Humble Games and Witch Beam have announced that puzzle game Unpacking is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on May 10th.
The game tasks players with unpacking their belongings across the course of eight moves as they discover the story of the main character through the items that get brought to each new home and those that get left behind. Players get to unpack “from a single bedroom to an entire house” as they enjoy “meditative gameplay with no timers or scores.”
“The items are personal to our main character, and let you learn about her and watch her develop over the course of the game,” artist and programmer Tim Dawson wrote in a PlayStation Blog post. “The items often have a personal connection to you, the player, as you encounter things that remind you of your own life or those people you know. And the items are personal to us, the developers, because part of making this game involved drawing on our own experiences and finding ways to add small details where we could.”
Unpacking is available now on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
