The Sinking City is getting a PlayStation 5 upgrade

A PlayStation 5 enhanced version of The Sinking City launches tomorrow, February 19th, Frogwares has revealed.

This upgraded version of the game runs at 4K/60 FPS and features increased graphical fidelity and improved loading times. There’s also support for the DualSense controller and the PlayStation 5’s Activity Card feature.

Watch the trailer below for a comparison between the original PlayStation 4 release and the upgraded PlayStation 5 version:

The PlayStation 5 version of the game is priced at $49.99 for the Standard Edition and $64.99 for the Deluxe Edition, with PlayStation Plus subscribers getting 30 percent off this for the first two weeks. As for a free upgrade, the developer explained that this isn’t possible due to the PS4 and PS5 versions having different publishers and different game IDs.

“As the sole owner and publisher of The Sinking City on PS5, we have chosen to price the game in a region that we feel is fair to players for this type of game. We’ll also be carefully looking at how we price all our future releases to try to keep with this way of thinking,” Serge Chervonnyi, Head of Production, said.

The Sinking City is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
