The next Stranger of Paradise expansion to feature infamous Final Fantasy villain

The next expansion for Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin will mark the return of one of the series’ most infamous villains, Gilgamesh, on October 26th.

A trailer for the upcoming DLC, Wanderer of the Rift, shows Stranger of Paradise hero Jack squaring off against Gilgamesh, who’s appeared in over two dozen Final Fantasy games and spin-offs. Gilgamesh started as a villain in Final Fantasy V, but he’s since showed up as a summon, a quest-giver, a rock, and an online shopping website.

Along with Gilgamesh, Wanderer of the Rift will introduce the Labyrinth of Dimensions, Blue Mage as a new job, and more summons, as well as new equipment, new enemies called Chaotic Monsters, and more.

If you want to play Wanderer of the Rift, you will have to purchase Stranger of Paradise‘s season pass, which also nets you the game’s previous expansion Trials of the Dragon King.

Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
