The Division 2 update makes changes to Seasonal Manhunt, adjusts difficulty
The Division 2 developer Massive Entertainment has pushed a new update live for the game that makes changes to the Seasonal Manhunt and difficulty.
To start with, today’s update makes it easier for groups to progress in the Seasonal Manhunt by making it so players can progress on Normal difficulty and above. A new button has also been added to the Seasonal Manhunt UI that lets players reset progress manually. However, this means that changing the Global Difficulty will no longer reset Manhunt progress.
Changes are also being made to enemy health, damage, and armor. A few examples include a reduction in damage at all difficulty levels, a reduction in enemy health and armor when scaling for groups, and a reduction in health and armor of enemies when playing on hard and challenging difficulty.
“The game was tuned in a way that playing the exact same enemy composition at higher difficulties and higher player counts would match to the expected gear of that difficulty and extra players added,” Massive explained. “However, since the game also adds more Elites and Veterans to accommodate higher difficulty and player counts, this caused tuning to overcompensate health and damage higher than intended.”
The developer added that due to the health reductions for co-op scaling the base difficulty of heroic and legendary is being increased. According to Massive, this means that the content “will be a bit harder for solo players and 2-player groups, 3-player difficulty will stay roughly the same, and 4-player difficulty will be easier.”
