The Division 2 is getting gear transmogrification in Title Update 11
Ubisoft has revealed that it will be adding gear transmogrification to The Division 2 in its next big update.
Transmogrification will work via Appearance Mods that allow players to change the look of their mask, backpack, chest, kneepads, gloves, and holster to any other brand. All armor gear from common to high-end and gear sets can have their appearance altered, but items cannot be made to look like Exotic pieces.
To change the look of an item, simply inspect it and select the new option called Mod Appearance to choose a new look. Once an item is picked up, its look will be available to use, even if the item is later sold, discarded, or deconstructed.
“Appearance mods unlocked on one character will be accessible across all your Agents, so make sure you log-in to each of your characters after TU11 to unlock all the gear-looks that you already possess in your stash and inventories,” Ubisoft added. “You’ll be able to ‘Favorite’ your preferred options in the Appearance Mod menu for quick access as well.”
The Division 2 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
