Summer Games Done Quick 2021 raises more than $2.9 million for charity
Annual speedrunning event Summer Games Done Quick has managed to raise more than $2.9 million for Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders.
During the week-long event, a total of $2,904,585.35 was raised thanks to more than 22,000 donors making over 40,000 donations. This latest total means that more than $34 million has now been raised by Games Done Quick events for various charities, including AbleGamers, Organization for Autism Research, and Prevent Cancer Foundation.
Over 100 games appeared during Summer Games Done Quick and VODs of every single run can be found over on the Games Done Quick YouTube channel.
Next up for Games Done Quick is the Fleet Fatales speedrunning event, which takes place from August 15th through August 21st, 2021. Following this will be Awesome Games Done Quick in January 2022.
