Streets of Rage 4’s Mr. X Nightmare DLC gets a release date and new trailer
Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guard Crush Games have revealed that Streets of Rage 4‘s Mr. X Nightmare DLC will be available on PC and consoles from July 15th.
Accompanying the release date announcement is a new trailer that goes over Survival Mode. This replayable challenge involves defeating endless waves of enemies to unlock random perks that will increase power. Two variations of Survival Mode will be available: Random, which keeps each fight unpredictable, and Weekly, a series of static gauntlets that rotate each week. By progressing through Survival Mode, players can unlock new moves and weapons.
In addition to Survival Mode, Mr. X Nightmare introduces Estel Aguirre, Max Thunder, and Shiva as playable characters, as well as new original music.
Finally, a new update arrives alongside the DLC that includes a training system, color palette options, a New Mania+ difficulty, balance changes, and more.
Streets of Rage 4 Mr. X Nightmare will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC for $7.99.
