State of Decay 2 update includes Halloween masks, quality of life improvements
Undead Labs has dropped a new quality of life update for State of Decay 2 that makes adjustments to vehicles, the UI, and more.
To start, three new Halloween masks are on the way to help get players into the Halloween spirit. In addition to the costumes from previous years, the following masks will be available between October 25th and November 1st:
- Scarecrow Mask — You’ll scare off more than crows with this terrifying mask, designed by the Grim Stitch Factory!
- Jack-O-Lantern Mask — Light up the night with this frightful mask!
- Hockey Mask — Perfect for scaring horny teenagers at a slumber party!
Additionally, the developer has made adjustments to Red Talon hero bonuses to make them more predictable. To achieve this, the Dead Zone Runner, Consul Officer, Diehard Veteran, and Vigil Guard traits have been cut from future Red Talon recruits to ensure they “have hero bonuses associated with the traits that determine their fifth skills.”
There’s also a fix for vehicles floating or flying after being repaired, the ability to put twice as many of an item into each slot of a vehicle’s inventory, icons for defeated Plague Hearts staying on the map until fully looted, and zombies no longer being able to see through wooden fences, cars, or doors. Check out the full patch notes here.
State of Decay 2 is available now on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
