Star Wars: Squadrons has gone gold
Star Wars: Squadrons creative director Ian S. Frazier has announced that the game has officially reached gold status.
For those who have never heard of the term, a game going gold means that development of the main game is complete and the code is ready to be sent to manufacturing to be printed to disc and mass produced.
Squadrons was officially unveiled back in June and sees the New Republic and the Empire battling in 5v5 multiplayer dogfights. The game is set after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and features Dogfights, Fleet Battles, and a campaign that follows two pilots from either side of the conflict. Players can earn new components for their ship and unlock customization options for their cockpit, ship interior, flight suit, and helmet.
Star Wars Squadrons launches October 2nd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
