Spellbreak launches next week for PC and consoles
Spellbreak, the free-to-play magic-focused battle royale game from Proletariat, will launch for PC and consoles on September 3rd, the developer has announced.
In the game, players take on the role of a battlemage and wield two powerful magic gauntlets that can be used to blend spell combinations that create fire tornadoes, electrified gas clouds, and more. Explore the battlefield to uncover chests that contain ability-granting runes, that grant the powers of flight, invisibility, and more.
The game will support full cross-platform play and progression via a Spellbreak account when it launches.
“Since we first started creating Spellbreak, almost 1 million players have supported the game’s development by participating in our playtests and our community has grown to be one of the largest on Discord,” Seth Sivak, CEO of Proletariat, said. “With innovations such as Cross-Progression and Cross-Play, players from around the world can play where they want with all of their friends regardless of platform. We can’t wait to talk more about our ongoing plans for new updates that that will reveal more of the deep, rich lore behind the world of Primdal, its people, and unlock exciting new game modes.”
Spellbreak launches September 3rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
