Sony is opening up its beta firmware program for PlayStation 5
If you love trying out new features and don’t mind living a little dangerously, Sony has now launched sign-ups for its first PlayStation 5 system software beta program.
“Later this year, we’re rolling out another major system update packed with new features, and we want your help testing them out,” writes Hideaki Nishino, senior vice president of platform experience, in a new PlayStation Blog post today.
You can sign up for the beta program here.
In order to participate, you’ll need to be over the age of 18, live in the U.S., Canada, Japan, U.K., Germany or France, and have a PlayStation 5 console with an internet connection and valid PlayStation Network account. To be clear, signing up does not guarantee you a place in the beta program.
