Sniper Elite 5 announced with debut trailer

Rebellion has announced that its next entry in the Sniper Elite series is coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and Windows PC in 2022.

Sniper Elite 5 sees elite marksman Karl Fairburne return as he travels to France to prevent Operation Kraken from ending the war before the Allies can land. Alongside the French Resistance, Karl must take out high-ranking Nazi officers to put a stop to the secret project. Watch the reveal trailer below:

This new entry features “the largest and most immersive in the franchise’s history” and introduces a new traversal system that allows players to “use ziplines, slide down slopes, and shimmy along ledges to reach the perfect vantage point, or to sneak past a sharp-eyed lookout.”

Additionally, the game includes an invasion drop-in PvP mode that lets players invade someone else’s campaign as an Axis sniper or as a second sniper alongside Karl to assist in taking out the enemy. Joining this mode are 16-player competitive battles, in which players can earn XP, medals, and ribbons, and a four-player co-op Survival mode.

Sniper Elite 5 is scheduled to launch in 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC through Steam and the Windows Store. The game will also be available through Xbox Game Pass from launch.
