Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is now coming to PS4 and Xbox One in Q1 2022
The last-gen version of Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is now scheduled to release in Q1 2022, developer Frogwares has announced.
Originally, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases were due “a few weeks” after the current-gen and PC versions. However, the developer has now revealed that it needs “a bit more time to polish and test the game.”
“We had to make the tough decision and delay our PS4 and Xbox One versions back in October and we are still 100% in support of this choice,” Frogwares said in a statement posted to Twitter. “We needed to take a bit more time to polish and test the game on the older hardware to deliver appropriate performance.”
Chapter One acts as an origin story and places players in the shoes of a young Sherlock Holmes as he returns to the Mediterranean-inspired island that he used to call home. While here, Sherlock will deal with several odd cases on his journey to uncovering the truth behind the death of his mother.
Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC.
