Seek your treasure in latest Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet trailer

A new trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet has debuted, showcasing the games’ three main storylines, as well as a handful of new Pokémon.

The “Seek Your Treasure!” trailer focuses on the school-hosted Treasure Hunt that acts as the open-world RPG’s jumping off point for its three main parallel journeys.

First is Starfall Street. There, you will find Team Star, a group of rebellious students led by a girl named Mela that’s seemingly hosting a series of underground fight clubs for Pokémon.

Then there’s the Path of Legends, where you will set out to seek the “legendary Herba Mystica.” You receive that task from Arven, an “upperclassman and gifted cook” who also happens to sport a five-star mullet. Throughout this journey, you’ll encounter Titan Pokémon guarding the goods.

Finally, there’s the more traditional Victory Road. This one is standard Pokémon fare: beat all the gym leaders, win their badges, and become a Pokémon master. You’ll meet the league chairwoman, Geeta, as well as Nemona, a trainer that will show you the ropes of battling Pokémon.

In addition to giving us a grander view of the Paldea Region, the trailer also gave us our first look at a few new Pokémon. Armarouge is a Fire/Psychic type with the Flash Fire ability whose armor is the source of its energy. Ceruledge is a Fire/Ghost type who similarly uses the Flash Fire ability and gets its power from its armor. Finally, there’s Klawf, a Rock type, crab-like ‘mon with the Anger Shell and Shell Armor abilities. We see a Titan version of Klawf in the trailer.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet launch November 18th for Nintendo Switch. Two weeks ahead of the game’s launch, Nintendo will also release two new themed editions of the Switch – OLED Model, as seen in the trailer.
