Sea of Thieves is coming to Steam next month
Rare has announced that Sea of Thieves will be debuting on Steam on June 3rd, 2020.
As previously announced, the Steam version of the game will support cross-platform play with the Xbox One and Windows 10 versions of the game. Cross-platform progression will also be supported, allowing players to bring over their ranks, cosmetics, and currency from other platforms.
Rare confirmed in an FAQ that players on Xbox One and Windows 10 will not receive a free copy of the game on Steam when it launches.
“Sea of Thieves is the biggest new Xbox IP of this generation, and we’re proud to be forging on through uncharted territory with a wave of new Steam players incoming and even more feature-packed updates on the horizon,” Joe Neate, executive producer at Rare, said in an Xbox Wire post.
Sea of Thieves launches June 3rd on Steam for $39.99.
