Rocket League’s challenges are being revamped

Rocket League’s move to free-to-play will be accompanied by a revamped challenge system.

This new challenge system will be split into Weekly, Season, and Event challenges, according to developer Psyonix. Each week, players will have three Weekly challenges to complete, with an additional three available for Rocket Pass Premium owners. These challenges must be completed in the week they are active.

While Season challenges are active for the entire season and take longer to complete, but offer better rewards. New challenges will unlock as the season progresses. As with Weekly challenges, Rocket Pass Premium owners will have additional Season challenges to complete.

These new challenges will reward players with customization items, XP, and new Drops. Drops award an item that is placed straight in the player’s inventory when opened and can contain items from any Blueprint Series

Finally, a set of New Driver Challenges will be available to new players that will unlock items that were included in the base game prior to going free-to-play. Completing these challenges or reaching level 20 will unlock Weekly challenges.

Rocket League is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
