Rainbow Six Siege’s Operation Neon Dawn and next-gen upgrade now live
Rainbow Six Siege’s Operation Neon Dawn update is now live on PC and consoles, Ubisoft has announced.
The highlight of Neon Dawn is the arrival of new Operator Aruni. The Defender has access to the P10 Roni, Mk 14 EBR, Bullet Proof Camera, and Barbed Wire. Aruni can also deploy a laser gate on doors and windows that will damage any enemies who attempt to pass through it.
Also available from today is the rework of Skyscraper. This new version of the map lets players rappel onto the roof, makes Dragon an interior room, and adds a bridge between House and Restaurant on the second floor.
There’s also a cooldown for Jäger’s Active Defense System, a change to Hibana’s launcher that lets players choose to fire two, four, or six shots, and a tweak for Echo’s Yokai drone that makes it visible when placed on ceilings. Take a look at the full list of changes here.
In addition to the above, the previously announced Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 upgrades for Rainbow Six Siege are now live. The game now has a 120 FPS Performance Mode and a 60 FPS Resolution Mode on next-gen consoles. Owners of the game on current-gen consoles can upgrade to the next-gen release for free.
