Rainbow Six Siege Operation Solar Raid adds a new Operator, map, and console cross-play
Operation Solar Raid, the final season of Rainbow Six Siege‘s seventh year of content, is scheduled to go live on December 6th, Ubisoft has revealed.
The highlight of this update is the new Colombian Operator Solis. The Defender can use her SPEC-IO Electro-Sensor gadget to mark and ping any electronic devices being used by the opposing team.
“It functions on a charge that will slowly drain when she’s using it, and refill when she’s not,” Ubisoft explains. “She can also spend the device’s charge to cluster scan all the gadgets in her sight and tag them for her allies to see, in addition to simply yellow-pinging them or verbally calling them out.”
Also coming in this update is the new Nighthaven Labs map. The map features a total of five staircases connecting three floors, has numerous breakable walls, and is designed to encourage “creative strategies.”
In addition to the above, Operation Solar Raid introduces cross-platform play between PlayStation and Xbox using Ubisoft Connect as well as cross-progression between all platforms. After logging in with an Ubisoft Connect account, players can access their progress, currencies, and items on any platform.
There will also be a revamped Battle Pass with a branching progression system, a beta for Reputation Score Display, the removal of Friendly Fire in the prep phase, and a change to ADS speed to make it the same for all Operators.
Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
