Rainbow Six Siege MUTE Protocol event introduces a new movement mechanic
Ubisoft has announced MUTE Protocol, a limited-time event that transports Rainbow Six Siege to the far future.
The limited-time MUTE Protocol mode sees two teams of Operators fighting for control of two areas on a sci-fi reimagined version of the Tower map. The attacking team is tasked with reclaiming control of the tower from MUTE, while the defending team must prevent this from happening.
While playing MUTE Protocol, all players will have access to “a radical new movement mechanic” which “digitizes their bodies whenever they use observation tools.” Attackers can travel via their drones, while defenders can move through any camera.
In addition to the new mode, the MUTE Protocol Collection is available for a limited time. The collection includes robotic outfits for Jackal, Lion, and Ying, Kapkan, Mira, Mute, Oryx, and Vigil and a special event weapon skin. Players can obtain these new items by opening MUTE Protocol Collection packs. A free MUTE Protocol Collection pack can be earned by completing an event challenge, while subsequent packs can be purchased from the in-game shop for Renown or R6 Credits.
Rainbow Six Siege is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
