PUBG 8.1 update brings a remastered Sanhok and Loot Trucks to console
PUBG Corp. has delivered a new update for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Stadia that graphically revamps the Sanhok map.
“We wanted Sanhok to feel more like a forgotten, overgrown paradise while addressing some of the most glaring balance issues we’ve seen over the last couple of years,” the developer explained. “We’re happy with what we’ve created and hope you are as well.”
The revamp makes changes to almost every area of the map to make it “look better, perform better, and offer more balanced gameplay.” Bootcamp, Quarry, Ruins, and more have all being heavily modified alongside the introduction of completely new areas such as Getaway and Airfield, which replace Docks and Mongnai, respectively.
Players will also discover the new Loot Truck making its way around Sanhok during matches. Trucks will spawn at one of several garages on the map and then drive along roads just waiting to be attacked. As these trucks are damaged, they’ll drop loot for players, with big rewards on offer for players who stick around to completely destroy them.
Other changes and additions include a new Survivor Pass, Gas Can improvements, and the Parachute Follow feature. Read the full patch notes here.
PUBG is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia.
