Psyonix shares details about Rocket League’s new Item Shop
Psyonix has detailed Rocket League’s upcoming Item Shop, which is scheduled to arrive in the game next month.
The Item Shop will replace the Showroom and lets players directly purchase Painted Cars, Player Banners, Exotic Wheels, Goal Explosions, and more for a new currency called Credits.
“Each item will have a listed Credit value that will show how much the item costs to purchase,” the developer explains. “Prior to purchasing, you’ll see if that item is a Painted, Certified, and/or Special Edition variant; which means, for example, you’ll know you’re getting a Titanium White car and what it costs before you buy it.”
Credits can be acquired in three ways once the update goes live: 100 Credits for each Key in a player’s inventory, they can be earned from Rocket Pass Premium, and purchased with real money in the following bundles:
- 500 Credits – $4.99 USD or region equivalent
- 1100 Credits – $9.99 USD or regional equivalent
- 3000 Credits – $24.99 USD or regional equivalent
- 6500 Credits – $49.99 USD or regional equivalent
Psyonix notes that all premium DLC packs will be removed from sale once the Item Shop/Blueprints update goes live. However, the developer added that items from those packs may return to the Item Shop for individual sale at some point.
Rocket League is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
