PSO2 New Genesis’ story continues in December with Sandstorm Requiem
Sega has revealed that the first major update for Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis, titled Sandstorm Requiem, will launch on December 15th.
This upcoming update introduces the desert-themed Retem region, a level cap increase to 35, new enemies, and more. Players also get to experience the second chapter of the main story as they travel to Retem City with Aina and Manon to form an alliance with the ARKS there.
While exploring this new region, players will encounter the new Fortos Launcher, Fortos Laser, Lizentos, and Metius enemy types. To aid players in their fight against them, new skills have been added for each class, including Sword Arts Change Avenger for Hunters, Rising Drive for Gunners, and Blade Arts Parry for Bouncers. Additionally, Elemental Technique users gain access to Wind, Light, and Dark techniques.
December’s update also includes the return of the Title system. As in the original Phantasy Star Online 2, completing in-game achievements, such as beating Trainia with an S ranking, will reward players with items and currency.
Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is available now on Xbox One and PC.
