PS5’s ‘bigger differences’ have not been announced yet, says Sony’s Jim Ryan
Sony is holding back the “more unique elements” that separate the PlayStation 5 from other consoles, according to Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Jim Ryan.
Speaking to Business Insider Japan (translated by Gematsu), Ryan revealed that the “bigger differences” of Sony’s upcoming next-generation console “have yet to be revealed.”
“There are still more unique elements for PlayStation 5 to come that separate it from previous consoles,” he said. “The ‘bigger differences’ have yet to be announced.”
As previously announced, the upcoming console will feature 3D audio, an SSD that will massively reduce load times, support for ray tracing on a hardware level, and haptic/adaptive triggers in the DualShock 5 controller.
The PlayStation 5 is due to release in holiday 2020.
