PlayStation Store top downloads for September revealed

Sony has revealed the most downloaded PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and free-to-play titles from the PlayStation Store for the month of September.

Starting with PlayStation 5, the recently released NBA 2K22 comes straight in at number one, with another new entry in Deathloop slotting into second place. Kena: Bridge of Spirits and Diablo II: Resurrected, which are also new entries, take third and fourth. The only game from August in the top five is last month’s most downloaded game Madden NFL 22.

Three of these titles also find themselves in the top five on PlayStation 4. NBA 2K22 makes it a double number one, while Madden NFL 22 sits in second followed by Diablo II: Resurrected. Grand Theft Auto V and Minecraft complete the top five.

Last is the Free-to-play chart, which sees Fortnite reclaim its place at the top from Splitgate. Genshin Impact jumped three places into third and Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends both dropped one place into fourth and fifth, respectively.
