PlayStation 5 Future of Gaming event set for next week
Update: The event has now been postponed.
Original story: Sony has announced that it will be offering a first look at PlayStation 5 games next week in its “The Future of Gaming” event.
The digital showcase will be available to watch on June 4th at 1 p.m. PDT via Twitch and YouTube. According to Jim Ryan, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, the showcase will last “for a bit more than an hour.”
“The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe,” he added. “Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware.”
As previously announced, Sony’s next-generation console will feature a Zen 2 CPU with eight cores, a custom 10.28 teraflop GPU, 16 GBs of GDDR6 memory, and a custom SSD that has 825 GB of space.
PlayStation 5 is scheduled to launch in holiday 2020.
