PlayStation 4 system software update 6.72 released
Sony has pushed live a new system software update for PlayStation 4 that takes the console up to version 6.72.
The update is around 440 MB in size and has a single patch note that you will all likely be familiar with by now. “This system software update improves system performance,” it reads.
This smaller update arrives ahead of system software update 6.80, which is the next major update for Sony’s console. The update is currently in beta and makes some big changes to party chat, including an increase in the maximum party size to 16, improved audio quality for voice chat, and improved network connectivity.
An official release date for update 6.80 has not been announced.
