Playable pixel art retro characters revealed for Streets of Rage 4
Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guard Crush Games have revealed that a selection of unlockable retro characters will be playable in Streets of Rage 4.
A total of 12 pixel art characters from the original Streets of Rage trilogy will be playable in the game. Each of these characters has “movesets and abilities unique to their respective games,” according to DotEmu, such as characters from the original Streets of Rage calling the cops for their special moves. It was also revealed that players will be able to switch to the original soundtrack from Streets of Rage and Streets of Rage 2 while playing through the game.
Streets of Rage 4 launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC this spring.
