Play Borderlands Game of the Year Edition for free on PS4
Borderlands Game of the Year Edition is free to play on PlayStation 4 this weekend, Gearbox Software has announced.
From tomorrow, August 16th at 12:01 a.m. PDT until August 18th, PlayStation 4 owners will be able to download and play the game for free. All progress made during the free trial can be carried over to the full game.
In addition to the free weekend, the game will be discounted on the PlayStation Store.
The Game of the Year Edition of Borderlands contains all four of the original game’s DLCs and features a number of improvements, such as 4K textures, local co-op support for four players, an updated UI, and support for SHiFT codes.
Gearbox also revealed that players who are signed up to its Vault Insider Program will be able to earn 1,000 points each day they play. Players who play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will get a bonus 1,000 points for a total of 4,000 points, which is enough to claims a custom head or skin to use in Borderlands 3. This offer is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
