Phantasy Star Online 2 Episode 4 dated, Steam release announced

Phantasy Star Online 2’s fourth episode will arrive on Xbox One and PC August 5th, Sega has confirmed.

This latest content drop continues the game’s story as players awake roughly two years after the events of Episode 3 to discover that the Fleet Oracle has a new commander and there are some oddly-behaving Arks running around. Players will need to investigate these strange occurrences while exploring the newly discovered planet of Earth.

Additionally, Episode 4 features an increased level cap of 80, new skills, the introduction of PvP, new seasonal events, new Alliance Quarters, and the introduction of a crafting system.

Sega also announced that the PC version of Phantasy Star Online 2 will be coming to Steam on the same day. The Steam release features cross-platform play and cross-progression with all other available platforms and will also come with some special rewards for players to earn. From August 5th, players can earn some Half-Life-themed items, including a HEV Suit and Alyx’s outfit. Read more about the upcoming collaboration here.
