“The story of Minecraft Legends is exactly what the title says: a legend of what might have been within Minecraft. Minecraft Legends has pieces from many different kinds of games, including the battlefield command of traditional real-time strategy games, the exploration and combat of open-world adventures, and of course the resource gathering and freedom to build to your heart’s content. But the fun in Legends is mixing all these ingredients together in a way that we’ve never played before. While it’s an action-strategy game, strategy games usually let you command your forces from above the battlefield. But in Legends, you’re fighting side-by-side with your allies. You also, over the course of the game, gather many golems and make friends with mobs. We’ve all been killed by zombies, skeletons, and especially creepers more than we’d like to admit, but in Legends, those mobs will fight by your side.”
