Oddworld: Soulstorm Enhanced Edition gets a release date and new trailer
Microids and Oddworld Inhabitants have announced that the Enhanced Edition of Oddworld: Soulstorm will release on November 30th, 2021.
This Enhanced Edition features “dramatically improved” gameplay mechanics and motion code, audio improvements, seven additional months of polish, improved Slig and follower AI, and all previously released updates. There’s also some new content for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC players.
Xbox players can tackle Vykkers Labs, which is described as “a throwback to classic Oddworld 2.5D gameplay featuring short puzzle-filled levels.” While PlayStation and PC players get Toby’s Escape, which is also based on 2.5D gameplay and reveals how Toby escaped RuptureFarms and became the train’s conductor.
Oddworld: Soulstorm Enhanced Edition launches November 30th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Owners of the original game on PlayStation and PC will receive the Enhanced Edition for free through an update.
