‘No plans’ to bring World of Warcraft to Xbox Series X, says Blizzard
A rating in Brazil, which was spotted by Gematsu, for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands on Xbox Series X got people excited about a potential console release for Blizzard’s MMO. However, the developer has since stated that the listing was an error.
“We currently have no plans to bring World of Warcraft or Shadowlands to Xbox Series X,” a Blizzard representative said to Polygon. “The platform was listed on the Brazil Ministry of Justice rating website in error, and the entry has since been updated to reflect that the game is coming only to PC.”
Shadowlands is scheduled to release later this year and will introduce five new zones to explore, a scaled-down level cap of 60, and a new replayable dungeon. There will also be four new Covenants for players to choose from that will offer unique quests, missions, and rewards.
In other news, Blizzard recently unveiled the physical Collector’s Edition of Shadowlands. This special edition is priced at $119.99 and includes a four-pin set, an art book, a mousepad, a soundtrack, and other digital items.
