Nioh 2 gets a new trailer and an early 2020 release window
Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja shared a new trailer for Nioh 2 during the Tokyo Game Show that revealed an early 2020 release window for the PlayStation 4 exclusive.
The official trailer has since been taken down, but a mirror (via Boss Fight Database) can be found below. This latest trailer focuses on the game’s boss fights, including a battle against a giant monster with a horse head.
The upcoming sequel introduces a new system called Yokai Shift, which lets players access a powerful Yokai form by filling the Amrita gauge. This new system can also be used to increase the stats of weapons and add additional buffs.
Nioh 2 is due to launch in early 2020 for PlayStation 4 and puts players in control of a half-human, half-supernatural Yokai Warrior as they explore Sengoku-era Japan and the Dark Realm.
