Nintendo launches Switch repair subscription service, but only in Japan
Nintendo has launched a subscription service for Switch repairs in Japan, with no word yet on whether it will come to other regions.
The service, called Wide Care (via VGC), only costs $15 a year for six repairs, including for consoles (Switch and Switch Lite), Joy-Cons, adapters, and more.
Surprisingly, not only does Wide Care cover natural wear and tear, but it also covers accidental damage and water damage. Shipping costs are included in the subscription price, too.
Unfortunately, Nintendo hasn’t said if Wide Care will launch in the US. So far, Nintendo limits the service to Japanese customers only.
