Nintendo Indie World Showcase roundup
Nintendo’s Latest Indie World Showcase featured 20 minutes of new information about upcoming indie titles, including a couple of surprise announcements.

Sports Story
The show kicked off with the announcement of Sports Story, a followup to Golf Story. This upcoming entry will feature more than just golf, with tennis, soccer, and more appearing. Sports Story is due to release for Nintendo Switch in mid-2020.
Streets of Rage 4
Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guard Crush Games revealed that Adam Hunter will be a playable character in Streets of Rage 4 when it comes to Nintendo Switch in the first half of 2020. See him in action in the trailer below:
Gleamlight
D3Publisher unveiled Gleamlight, a side-scrolling action-adventure game that has a stained glass look and no UI. The game is due to release on Nintendo Switch in early 2020.
Bake ‘N Switch
Bake ‘N Switch is a couch co-op party game brawler that sees up to four players fighting to sacrifice dough creatures to the Guardians of the Dough. The game is in development at Streamline Games and is set to release in summer 2020.
Supermash
This interesting title is in development at Digital Continue and is centered around a mysterious game console discovered by a brother and sister who run a game shop. This console allows players to mash together any two genres to create a new game and then play through it. Supermash is coming to Nintendo Switch in May 2020.
The Talos Principle
Croteam’s first-person puzzle game The Talos Principle got a surprise release on Nintendo Switch.
Sail Forth
Sail Forth is a procedural sailing adventure that sees players doing battle with pirates, sea monsters, and more. The game is due to make its Nintendo Switch debut in 2020.
Dauntless
Phoenix Lab’s free-to-play multiplayer monster hunting game Dauntless is now available on Switch. Download it now from the eShop.
Murder by Numbers
Mediatonic revealed that Murder by Numbers will be a timed console exclusive when it arrives on Nintendo Switch in early 2020. The game follows the story of Honor Mizrahi, a television actress on a hit detective show who is thrown into a real murder investigation when her boss ends up dead shortly after firing her.
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD
Nintendo Switch owners will finally be able to take control of mysterious bounty hunter Stranger when Oddworld Inhabitants’ action-adventure game Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD arrives on the console in January 2020.
SkateBIRD
Mix birds with skateboards and you’ve got Glass Bottom Games’ SkateBIRD. Help fellow birds, unlock new clothing options, and find hidden tapes as you kickflip through levels made up of magazines, straws, and staplers. SkateBIRD launches for Nintendo Switch in late 2020.
Liberated
Liberated is a noir adventure that sees players working their way through the pages of a graphic novel set in a cyberpunk near-future where civil liberties are on the decline. Solve puzzles and hunt for the truth when Liberated comes to Nintendo Switch as a timed exclusive in 2020.
Boyfriend Dungeon
Kitfox Games’ dungeon-crawling dating simulator is coming to Nintendo Switch. The game sees players fighting through dungeons with one of nine sentient weapons that they can also date. Nintendo Switch owners will get their hands on this in 2020.
Dreamscaper
Play as Cassidy and dive into her subconscious every night while she dreams to take on her nightmares in this action RPG rougelite when it comes to Nintendo Switch in early 2020.
The Survivalists
Team17 unveiled a new game set in The Escapists universe called The Survivalists. Craft items, gather supplies, take on dangerous temples, and train monkeys in this new survival game. The Survivalists releases in 2020 for Nintendo Switch.
Axiom Verge 2
The final surprise of the showcase was that the sequel to 2015’s action-adventure Axiom Verge will be coming to Nintendo Switch in fall 2020. Little is known about the upcoming sequel, but the game’s description promises new characters, abilities, and gameplay. Watch the debut trailer below:
